Google Cuts Its Marketing Budget by Half
COVID- 19 has affected millions of businesses worldwide. In a recent email to Google employees, Sundar Pichai has disclosed Google’s reaction to the global pandemic.
With downsizing economies, the earnings from paid ads has also collapsed significantly. This is the reason why Google is cutting its marketing budget by 50% for the latter half of 2020.
This report comes less than a week before Google is expected to discuss its financial results for the first quarter of 2020.
The email read as:
“There are budget cuts and hiring freezes happening across marketing and across Google… We, along with the rest of marketing, have been asked to cut our budget by about half for H2.”
However, the email also hinted that Google will not hold back investment in areas where businesses need Google’s support for their survival and growth.

Google to Show Image License Metadata for all Image Content
Google is looking out for a new way for web businesses to show image license metadata in the Google images.
Google has recently launched a new structured data element which will allow Google to show the license information of the image. You will be able to see a “licensable” label that will have all the information of the image within the Google image search results.
The update is yet to go live!
Google says it is yet to go live but you can definitely get ready for it and start preparing your future content accordingly. So, if you are marking your images, Google may show your licensable information when the update is live.
How to markup?
You might want to check out how to add the metadata. There are two ways of how you can add the metadata; all you need to do is to give Google, the metadata that is eligible for the licensable badge and that can be done by any of the following:
Structured data
This talks of the connection between the image and the page where it leads, with the markup. You will always be required to add structured data. For every example, there must be an image, be it the same.
IPTC photo metadata
This is embedded into the image itself; the image and the metadata can move from one page to the other while they are still connected. You just need to embed IPTC photo metadata once for an image.
Why it is important?
Well, if you are tired of image theft of your attractive posts, this update will save your image content. When someone sees a licensable tag on the image, it will allow the viewers know about the rightful owner of the image and other relevant information. Not just image theft, it will also increase your business revenue. So, this new update from Google is a win-win; are you excited?

Happy Birthday, Google Maps! Thank You for Being So Amazing on the Roads!
Before 2005, the roads of this world were something else. Who doesn’t remember the time when they had to ask a passerby about their destination?
Hard times pass by! Especially with the coming of the amazing Google maps, our traffic troubles were put to rest. Google maps have allowed road travelers to move anywhere without carrying a traditional map book. It is easy to reach point A to B with an in-built traffic detector and expected arrival time. Crossing 1 billion people in the world who are exploring the world with Google maps, it has turned 15 and has announced new features and updates based on the user experiences.
Celebrating a new look
On its 15th birthday this year, Google has decided to offer a gift to all the users of Google Maps. Most of the users have already updated the application to discover the new features and many are yet to do that. Updates
This tab gives you the trending feed where you could see the latest places where you can visit and the different places to eat. You can not only save or share the trending places but you can also directly chat with the business to get any information about them that you desire to know.

Is SEO Dying in 2020? Is SEO Worth It in 2020?
We all know how dynamic SEO has been and the regular algorithms that are affecting the marketing strategies in the past few years. Understanding the time it takes any business to rank on Google, there have been steady thoughts that SEO is dead this year. What do YOU think? Is SEO dead?
Now you might be starting to think that you should drop your idea of investing in SEO. But well, here’s what we think. And here’s what we found that might scare you a little more.
You can no longer play with the Google algorithms which changes every day it is difficult to pull strings with Google. This results in delayed outcomes and a lot of hard work that gives an understanding of the audience that SEO is dying. So, what are your thoughts on this subject?
Is SEO dead?
Well, there are no chances for the SEO to die. SEO would be dead when digital marketing would end, which is probably never going to happen. Speaking of the statistics, there are a few things that explain SEO will never die.
Do you know of the number of searches on Google every day?
You’d be amazed to know that around 2 trillion searches happen a day. With more than a billion blogs on Google, it is a quite difficult rank all the websites. But this doesn’t mean SEO is dead. Take an example here: when we type “What is SEO?” on Google, here are the results…
So you see, there are about 62, 70, 00,000 results on Google to explain “what is SEO?” Supply is higher than the demand which is why it is difficult to rank your business in less time. So now you understand it is not what you think, but the opposite.
SEO is not dead but how do we know?
So, as we discussed above, metrics might not favor you and it doesn’t mean that SEO as a channel is dead. There are numerous marketers who are doing great when it comes to getting the expected traffic for their business website. Rather, they are still growing their web traffic with the best SEO strategies that are working well for them.
Google is still helping countless businesses to grow their traffic every day because some businesses are using the right SEO strategies.
Google catches everything from everywhere
If you think Google is caching your websites, you are wrong. Google is also reading through your social media accounts as well. Google is crawling your social media accounts and no doubt this also helps Google to give you little ranking.
No matter how hard you try to keep you away from social media, you still need to work upon it harder than you can think. This would not only help you index your site but brand building is another catch with it which will somehow help you better your ranking.
Google will show you what you like
Let’s understand through an example. Consider searching “best grilled sandwich”, this is how the result would be like:
Check back after 40-45 minutes, the result will change to below search:
With the assumption of Google being dead, it is working upon the algorithm to offer an unmatchable user experience. Backlinks, SEO metrics, and keyword density is an old part of the story but the user experience is something that is never going out of trend.
Consider a website that has countless backlinks and the users don’t like them; the website is not going to rank for a long time. If you are looking for something on Google and clicked the website on number 2 or later, after an hour or two when you search the same that website will rank on the top. You are the one to adjust the Google ranking because you are the user.
This is what we mean by saying “Google will show you what you like”.
For Google, users are important before anything and if your website is able to do that, you steal the rankings.
Niche-specific websites will rank
You might be the best SEO Company in India but if you are writing everything on your website, Google is not going to call you for the in-house party.
Do you remember the one-stop-solution About.com?
It had everything you wanted but Google didn’t like it. Quite obviously, you cannot rank for everything you do. This gave their business a red alert and it almost died. Let’s see why the business failed:
- As discussed, the business didn’t focus on one but multiple niches. You could find anything and everything.
- The content wasn’t impressive and there was no in-depth information.
- They added a lot of content that people hardly read.
The next thing they did was to specify their website to one vertical and let the other verticals go to another website. Here’s what they got:
- Great traffic
- Better ranking
- Growth in revenue to 140%
Personalization is the new trend
Being the best SEO Company in India, if you are not offering a personalized experience to your users, Google might take the tag from you.
When you search for something on Google, your results are different from that of your friends. Ever wondered why?
This is because Google is personalizing your experience on the browser. Based on your experience and past searches Google tries to personalize your future searches.
SEO is not dead but changing
‘Countless digital marketing Companies near me but none is able to rank my business.’ This is what you generally think when looking for search engine optimization services in Delhi. The reason is, they are unable to understand the changing algorithm of Google.
CTR is going down and Google is changing its algorithm every day just to make sure that the users get the best experience online. It is our business that has to adjust as per the algorithms.
It’s no more typing ‘digital marketing Company near me’ but look for the SEO experts who are well-versed with the changing trends in Google. Watch your steps on Google or it will take away your traffic in no time.Instagram Announces New Feature: Edit Your Boomerang Videos

The Most Unknown Digital Marketing Trends You Need to Know in 2020
The New Year has already begun and we are sure that you would have been already prepared for digital marketing this year. But, are you ready with the digital marketing trends for this year?
Well, that could be tricky because we all are not on the same page. There are numerous marketing trends that have changed and we do not know about them. You might notice marketers speaking of the voice search marketing to take over in the coming years but this is something we already know!
We need something that people do not know about and here are the digital marketing trends that you should know this year to make sure you are doing the right marketing.
Let’s talk about it!
Customer-centric approach
Since its advent, marketing has changed so much that it is difficult to figure out which technique to trust. Customer experiences are given much more important than any other aspect. Being into business, when you put your focus on offering the right services you do not have to take care of calling customers, they come to you with the quality of your services.
Online product descriptions, portfolios and other information about the business have made sure that the business does not have to explain their services or products.
Also, this is the time when customers do their own research; they do not trust business unless they are sure of what they say. Now, here comes something great and the tricky part basically. Nobody wants to know how many clients you have or how old are you; your company’s name should be enough. Your marketing strategy, your social media profiles, and engagement will speak for your business.
Visual content
Where voice search has already taken over, visual content is gaining more popularity as well. Readable content is not something that people are using more but the visuals are capturing more and more eyes.
Researchers have found out that the visual content has more views than the plain text and it can get you more engagement than the other posts. It is known that people can connect with the visitors but regular content does not catch many eyes.
Visualize the data and statistics; yes you must do it. If you have any interesting stats, you must put that into interesting visuals and you are sure to catch eyes in a minute.
Personalized marketing
How about personalizing your data or statistics?
It will let you connect with your visitors in no time. Even the promotional emails start with our names so why not the other mediums. We are flooded with emails every day be it from the fashion brand or an eCommerce store, we mostly ignore it. Why?
We ignore them because we cannot connect with the posts so, personalization is important. When we see… “Hey Matt, how are you doing today?”
It is something that we could connect with; don’t you think so?
Personalized marketing messages would do the job in less time.
Alternative communication channels
Emails, messaging, calls, boring chatbots are all done!
Bring in something new that interests your audience and give them all the information in place. Introduce interactive chatbots that are also connected with Facebook and Instagram which makes it easier for the users to talk to you.
Users like easy and convenient marketing; they need a platform where they could connect with the business in no time with less trouble.
Go live!
More than $75 billion is expected to be the worth of the live video industry in the next year. It’s gaining incredible popularity and as compared to regular videos, going live is three times popular. Pre-recorded videos are going out-of-trend because it’s time to go live.
There is no denying the fact that videos are much more popular than any other medium but going live is better.
Conclusion
Digital marketing trends have been changing lately but working upon it is what we must focus upon. There are numerous marketing trends that we believe we should talk about but few are important to be noted. As a digital marketing company, we aim to set the record straight and debunk some of the most common website development myths doing rounds in the market.
Myth #1: You don’t need a web developer
Over trusting those DIY videos about how you can build a website yourself can get you a lot of trouble. Saving some money does not make a good case for not hiring a developer.
Building a website is an intricate and technical process that you must leave to the experts. They have required knowledge of the necessary tools, software, and other information to deliver you the best final product.
Searching for the best web design company in Delhi?
There is no way you won’t stumble upon the name NetQube Projects. We have a team of highly-skilled web developers who know how to give you a professional website that speaks for your brand.
Myth #2: Mobile-optimization is not mandatory
If you think that mobile-optimization is not for you, you are sadly mistaken.
Smartphone users have long surpassed the number of desktop users. People access websites on their smartphones and if your site is not mobile-optimized, it will escalate your bounce rate which will negatively affect your Google ranking.
If you don’t want to drive your visitors away, create a powerful website that works well on all the devices.
Digital marketing services in India also include creating feel-good websites that are mobile-optimized and offer good user-experience.
Myth #3: Development ends once the website is live
Being a developer, you can breathe a sigh of relief once you have launched the website into the online world. But hey, your work is not done yet.
Sure you have done a lion’s share of your work, but new technologies and advancements are introduced every now and then that you can’t overlook.
If you don’t keep up with the technology, you will lag behind. For example, AI has already started spreading its roots in the digital marketing world and chatbot is just an example. Using the latest AI features on the website to upgrade it as per the latest technological development is the job of a website developer.
Every digital marketing company uses AI to collect crucial data and understand their customers better.
Myth #4: Content can be deferred
Do you know what a user finds the most engaging in a website?
Content. Yes, you heard it right. A well-written and well-structured content define a good website and not the vice versa. Content creation is a time taking process and if you think that your content writer will get it right in the first go, you are wrong. Setting up a website, loading it with designs and creating content, this is not how the process goes.
You must create the content first and then insert designs and layouts that complement your content. Effective content planning beforehand also helps in creating a sitemap for the website.
We are a digital marketing company that has broad expertise in content writing as well. We take care of your website content and fill it with the necessary keywords to make it more relevant.
Myth #5: Website needs to be perfect
Building a website is a progressive thing. If you want everything to be perfect before you make your website online, it might take you forever to do this. Every fabulous website has some fault and it is completely fine.
Instead of looking for perfection, you should aim for progress. Building a website is an ongoing process and you can edit your website content, add new pages and features anytime to make it better.
We hope that we have been successful in busting common web development myths. It is alright if you have believed any of these myths in the past.
